Clear Con Pools uses the core matt HDL (high-density lamination) method, ensuring that our pre-moulded fibreglass shells are extremely durable.
Process: How we work.
When installed by Clear Con pools, we are so sure of our product that we are willing to guarantee the fiberglass structure for a period of 20 years. When supplied as a kit form, we will still guarantee the shell itself for a period of 10 years. This is the best guarantee to be offered by any swimming pool manufacturer or installer within the borders of South Africa.

Our manufacturing process is designed to enable our pools to withstand extremely active soil conditions (turf & clay). As a result of the planned flexible nature of the shell, it is far less likely to crack or deform. Our fiberglass shells are manufactured in our own factory, this eliminates additional construction on the premises of the client and is therefore quick and easy to install. Saving you time and money.
Fiberglass is a non-porous material, which means that chemicals in your water will last longer leading to lower maintenance costs; fiberglass shells also retain heat longer than other pool surfaces. The surface is smooth; this reduces the time spent on cleaning and maintenance of your swimming pool. The gel-coat finish also adds to a seamlessly clean-cut look and feel.

This pool makes it possible to own a genuine pre-molded pool regardless you own property or not, this concept incorporates the traditional high-quality fiberglass shell in a mobile format.
The shell is imbedded in a high-quality steel frame covered with treated wood surround.
The mobile pool makes it possible to pack up and move taking your pool with. There are different wood and size options available.

What is Gunite?
Gunite is sprayed concrete through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface, as a construction technique. Concrete is sprayed and compacted at the same time, due to the force of the compressed air. It can be sprayed onto any type or shape or surface, including vertical or overhead areas. Gunite is commonly used for the application of in-ground or above-ground swimming pool installation. Gunite swimming pools are typically more durable and longer lasting than other conventional methods such as hand-packed concrete.
Additionally, the use of gunite allows for customisation in shape, depth, and style. Gunite pools are often referred to as designer swimming pools. As the gunite hardens, it becomes extremely durable and can withstand pressures up to 4,000 PSI. This makes gunite suitable for even the deepest of pools. When built by a knowledgeable contractor and properly maintained, a gunite pool structure can last for 100 years or more.
Process: How we work.
To build one of these pools, the construction crew digs a hole, assembles a framework grid with Y8mm steel reinforcing rods (rebar) The rebar rods are spaced at about 200mm² and secured at each intersection. When the grid is in place, the crew sprays a heavy coating of gunite, a mixture consisting of cement, sand and fine stone, around the rebar, under high pressure.
Advantages of a Gunite Pool
- Gunite pool can be designed to complement your house and personal taste.
- The structure is durable and can be strengthened even more if needed.
- Gunite pools are built on-site, and make access in your yard much easier than pre-molded shells.
Disadvantages of a Gunite Pool
- Because the concrete needs to cure, it takes as much as 5 weeks to build gunite pools from scratch.
- Due to the rigidness of gunite, this product is not advised in turf areas or areas with lots of soil movement.
- Gunite pools tend to be more expensive than fiberglass shells due to the labor-intensive process.
